Is Day Surgery a new concept that is being experimented on?
British Medical Journal reported the 8,988 day surgery cases in 1909. So the concept is now new. However, with innovations in medicine during the last 100 years, the usefulness of the day surgery model can be said to be much bigger now. The benefits that the patients can feel, the medical professionals, the insurance companies and the community, in general, are profound.
Is Evexia recognised by the healthcare regulators of Bahrain?
We are a licensed one day surgery hospital. A valid license by the National Health regulatory Authority (NHRA) is displayed at the reception.
What are the advantages of a day surgery hospital?
Day surgery bears fewer risks of hospital-related infections, and patients can receive more individual attention when they are kept separate from seriously ill patients in conventional inpatient wards. Complications arising after day surgery are usually minor, and mortality is extremely rare.

Can we book surgeries ourselves?
Surgical fitness needs to be done before any booking. This includes a visit to our pre assessment clinic (PAC). If you have a surgery referral note from your doctor, contact us over a call, message, or email; we shall guide you through the process.
What if I feel discomfort after discharge from the hospital?
After discharge, you will have access to our medical team hotline. So you can report to us, and the team will guide you.
Can I pay later?
We have arrangements with some banks to take care of your surgical payments. We will explain this during the booking process.
How long does it take to book the surgery?
Most surgeries are booked within three days of receiving the admission form. Certain cases take longer depending on insurance approval and other co-morbidities like diabetes, hypertension etc.
Can I communicate with the medical team over WhatsApp?
Yes, as soon as your admission form is received, we create a WhatsApp group with the medical team, management officials, you and your family members. You will be delighted with this convenient communication channel.
