Evexia has taken a patient-first approach to the profession of healthcare. The obvious benefit to patients, first and foremost, is cost. Day surgery does not need a hospital stay, elaborate meals or overnight monitoring, reducing overhead costs, which can be passed onto the patient.

Convenience is also at the forefront of our service delivery model. Because patients can go home the same day, they can avoid the inconvenience of having to stay in the hospital overnight. This can be especially important for working professionals as well as with patients with children or other family members who need care at home, as it allows them to return to their daily routines more quickly.

In a post-covid era, the emphasis on reduction in proximity can potentially reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections, which can be a major concern for patients undergoing surgery. Due to short hospital stays, patients’ exposure to potential sources of infection is minimised compared to a traditional hospital setting.

As we focus on day surgery cases only, there is increased attention experienced by our patients. Due to innovations in anaesthesia, there is less risk of complications such as nausea, vomiting, and respiratory depression.
